On Monday July 8th at 7pm, see a presentation about the geological and paleontological history of the Central Valley by Modesto Junior College Geology instructor Garry Hayes, who has also been outspoken about the value and historical significance of Del Puerto Canyon.


From the N. San Joaquin Valley Chapter of the California Native Plant Society:

"Join us to learn about our Central Valley before any humans arrived! A paleontological exploration of the Great Valley through geological time, long before agricultural development changed the face of the valley. An amazing story is told by the rocks exposed in the valley and adjacent Coast Ranges, reaching back to the age of the dinosaurs."
