There is a reason why Del Puerto Canyon is considered scenic. A quick drive from Patterson reveals the habitats that a variety of wildlife call home. The meandering creek that the tadpoles relish, Owl Rock, and Heritage Oaks are just a few notable spectacles. Catch it at the right time, and the variety of blossoms are watercolor in life. Geologists study the region for its rare vertical alignment that provides glimpse into our Earth's interior. We believe natural beauty and rare geology of the canyon should be preserved for generations to come.

Del Puerto Canyon Road is a county rural major collector with an 80' public right-of-way that includes the roadsides, unless specifically precluded by the presence of fences or marked boundaries approved by the county. Uncultivated lands in California also need to be adequately marked by "no trespass" signs at least every 1/3 mile and at every entrance to be considered off limits to the public.
